Pacific Islands Campaign – Guam, Box Cover:
This is a great game, with plenty of detail, of the critical Battle to retake Guam from 21 July through 10 August 1944. These larger island battles are great for examining how the US began its leapfrogging technique to gain pivotal and critical island locations where bases could be set up to support the strategic battle on the home islands of Japan. Guam would go on to become a major B-29 base and serve as a springboard for launching additional island invasions that pierce the Japanese Defense Perimeter.
Scenarios include:
The Recapture of Guam – the entire campaign to retake the island from the Japanese. It provides the most fun and possibilities in maneuver for both sides.
The Seizure of the Orote Peninsula – this small scenario focuses on the portion of the battle where the US took the Orote Peninsula.
From Mt. Barrigada to the Northern Shores – this is the battle for the remaining northern portion of the battle. pretty much a forgone conclusion but the Japanese still have some fight in them.
The Fight for Southern Guam – this scenario takes you through the early part of the battle to take the southern portion of the island.

Pacific Islands Campaign – Saipan/Tinian, Box Cover:
This is a great game, with plenty of detail, of the critical Battle to take Saipan and Tinian from 15 June through 8 August 1944. These larger island battles are great for examining how the US began its leapfrogging technique to gain pivotal and critical island locations where bases could be set up to support the strategic battle on the home islands of Japan. Saipan and Tinian would go on to become major B-29 bases and serve as a springboard for launching additional island invasions that pierce the Japanese Defense Perimeter. The fighting for Saipan was so severe that a US Army General was relieved of command because his unit could not budge the Japanese for days while the Marines were making progress on both flanks.
